I used to think that online training was rather useless and would just involve reading pages of information on a screen and therefore never considered it to be something that I wanted to do. However, I have now discovered that they are much more interactive than that with self assessment questions, video, audio and pictures, depending on the specific course so it is more like a talking text book. This certainly makes e-learning sound a lot more attractive to me as just reading hordes of text is not something that I like doing very much. Learning more about these types of courses has even made me keen to try one out myself. I am hoping that I can convince my employer to pay for one for me! I just have to think of an area I need training in and find a course that meets that requirement – i am sure I can think of something!
